Crawford Controls have been involved in Smoke Extract and ventilation projects since 1997. The principles of the business have been involved with this industry since 1979.

Smoke control system (or comfort daily ventilation systems) will only be effective if its elements are in proper communication. If a fire breaks out, you need the correct smoke vents to open and the correct fans to activate. If heat builds up in one part of a building, you don’t want cooling to kick in elsewhere. Control systems read detector data and operate along agreed “cause and effect” protocols to ensure the correct response at all times.

Crop Store Refrigeration

Crawford Controls have been involved with Crop Store Controls for 1997 and our director has been involved since 1985.

​

When it comes to cooling, the agricultural industries have their own rule book. And whether it’s controlling humidity or ensuring produce is well ventilated, getting cooling right can make a major difference to the bottom line.

Crawford Controls work extremely closely with its long standing client to ensure they continue to build on their 50 years of agricultural expertise.

Airport Baggage Handling

Crawford Controls has recently completed manufacture of several Check In Desk and Baggage Handling Controls as well as Airport Carousel Projects and Baggage Handling Projects that have been successfully completed over the last few years.

Theme Park Rides

Crawford Controls have over the past 20 years been involved with Theme Parks and have provided upgrades for several rides. Initially called upon back in 1991 to provide a braking system to an existing ride our Director has been involved in many other ride projects and refurbishment.

Crawford Controls engage with manufacturers of purpose made assembly and production line machinery. Whilst completely different to other industries of involvement this demonstrates the flexibility and versatility of the business.

In general terms this has lead Crawford Controls and its close Partners into integration of very specific and specialised components including Robotics.

As with most systems the base line is PLC, HMI and Networking with Remote I/O. Each day brings a new challenge on these Projects as new and untried components are added by our client.
